About the Idea
by: Lisa Moore
The basic idea for this project was brought about as a
way for to expand upon a website that I created when I was 16, it is a
fansite dedicated to Disney's Tinker Bell. That website Tinker
Bell's Nook is a very popular stop for people looking for more information
about my favorite fairy. I still run that site but wanted something
that I could truly call my own so I started thinking up a few characters
that I thought could make a good story, they were all fairies of course!
I was originally going to write this tale myself but
soon found out that my writing skills and creativity were lacking, that
along with the fact that I had little time to devote to the story I went
out in search of a writer who was interested in bringing my characters to
life. I was very happy to have found the very talented Zia Vest to
take on the writing of the story. She brought so much more to the
story than I had thought about, she created our heroine Rose and expanded
on my previously created fairy characters. She is creating a magical
world that I am excited to show you all.
Bringing the characters to life is Michelle Bridges a
very talented comic artist who has a fun and whimsical style perfect for
this fantasy tale. You can check out the artists page for more
information about Zia and Michelle.
Around the time that I was getting this idea off the
ground I had begun working as a comic book flatter, don't know what that
is? You can check out my work website if you'd like more info on
that...

With this new job came a desire to learn all of the aspects of the
comic creation process, I was specifically most interested in the coloring
process. So bringing about this project seemed the best way to
create opportunities for myself to begin to practice the different aspects
of the comic process. So since I cannot draw to save my life I am
having a blast inking, coloring, and lettering all of the pages. I
feel so blessed to have found the team that is currently working on the
comic and am so grateful to these ladies for putting up with me and for
giving so much to the project.
